saphenous
Inner leg vessel
Saphenous describes anatomy relating to the saphenous veins, the two major superficial veins running the length of the leg.
The great saphenous vein, the body's longest, runs from foot to thigh along the inner leg; the small saphenous vein runs up the back of the calf.
The surgeon harvested the saphenous vein for the bypass graft.
