pharmacopoeia
Official medicine catalog
A pharmacopoeia is an official publication listing medicinal drugs along with their formulas, preparation methods, dosages, and standards for purity.
Historically, each country maintained its own—the United States Pharmacopeia, the British Pharmacopoeia.
The term extends to any collection of drugs or medicines: the pharmacopoeia of traditional Chinese medicine.
Sometimes spelled pharmacopeia.
