humors
Caters to whims
Humors has two main senses.
The bodily humors were four fluids in ancient medicine—blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile—whose balance supposedly determined health and temperament.
Someone of choleric humor had too much yellow bile.
The singular humor meaning mood or disposition descends from this: She was in a foul humor.
To humor someone is to indulge their whims: Just humor me and try it.
