anthology

Gathered writings volume

An anthology is a collection of literary works—poems, stories, essays—gathered into a single volume, usually organized around a theme, period, or genre: a Norton anthology of American literature, an anthology of science fiction.

The term extends to other media: a film anthology, an anthology series on television.

The compiler is an anthologist.
