BP
Systolic over diastolic
BP is a multinational oil and gas company, formerly British Petroleum.
The name appears frequently in news about energy markets, environmental issues, and notably the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico: BP agreed to pay billions in damages.
In medical contexts, BP abbreviates blood pressure: Her BP was elevated. (Lowercase bp is also used for blood pressure.)
