pennants
Triangular stadium decorations
Pennants are long, narrow, tapering flags.
They fly from ships, hang in stadiums, and mark championships—a team that wins the pennant takes first place in its league.
Pennants also decorate used car lots and children's parties, strung in colorful rows.
A single such flag is a pennant.
