Small unit flag
A guidon is a small flag or pennant carried by military units for identification and as a rallying point.
Typically triangular or swallow-tailed, guidons mark unit positions during formations and ceremonies: The sergeant carried the company guidon at the head of the column.
The term also refers to the soldier who carries this flag.
