opticals
Lenses for seeing
Opticals are eyeglasses or other corrective lenses, used especially in retail and insurance contexts: My plan covers opticals and dentals.
In film and video production, opticals are visual effects created through camera or laboratory techniques rather than digital processing—fades, dissolves, superimpositions, and the like.
