cat-eye

Vintage glasses shape

Cat-eye describes an elongated, upswept shape reminiscent of a feline eye.

The term appears most often with eyeglasses—frames that angle upward at the outer corners, popular in the 1950s and periodically revived: She wore vintage cat-eye glasses.

Cat-eye also names a style of eyeliner that extends past the outer corner in a wing, and a type of marble with a narrow band of color through the center.
