Wavelength is the distance between successive peaks of a wave—whether light, sound, or radio.
Different wavelengths of light produce different colors; different wavelengths of radio carry different stations.
Figuratively, people on the same wavelength think alike or communicate easily: We're just not on the same wavelength.
