eyepiece

Scope's viewing end

An eyepiece is the lens or system of lenses at the viewing end of an optical instrument—microscope, telescope, binoculars—through which you look.

The eyepiece magnifies the image formed by the objective lens: She adjusted the eyepiece until the specimen came into focus.
