Ideal visual acuity
20/20 describes normal visual acuity—the ability to see at twenty feet what a person with standard vision sees at twenty feet.
The notation comes from eye chart testing: My vision is 20/20 without glasses.
Figuratively, 20/20 means perfect clarity, especially in retrospect: Hindsight is 20/20.
