to-do

Noisy little uproar

A to-do is a commotion or fuss, usually over something minor: What's all this to-do about?

There was quite a to-do when the cat got into the wedding cake.

The word is slightly old-fashioned.

Separately, a to-do list is a catalog of tasks to complete, where to-do functions as an adjective meaning "needing to be done."
