respectability

Good moral standing

Respectability is the quality of being socially acceptable and morally proper.

It suggests conformity to conventional standards of behavior and appearance: a veneer of respectability, middle-class respectability.

The word often carries a whiff of judgment—implying concern with appearances over substance, or the stifling norms someone might rebel against: She traded adventure for respectability.
