earldom
British peer's domain
An earldom is the rank, title, or territorial domain of an earl—a British nobleman ranking above a viscount and below a marquess.
The term refers both to the dignity itself and to the lands historically associated with it: The earldom passed to his nephew.
She inherited the earldom of Pembroke.
