linkages
Points of attachment
Linkages are connections or relationships between things.
The word appears often in technical and policy contexts: economic linkages between trading partners, the linkages between poverty and crime.
In mechanical engineering, a linkage is a system of connected rods or levers that transmit motion.
The singular linkage works the same way but sounds slightly more abstract.
