interpreters

Diplomatic speech conduits

Interpreters are people who translate spoken language from one language to another in real time, enabling communication between parties who don't share a common tongue.

Unlike translators, who work with written text, interpreters must process and convey meaning on the spot, whether in courtrooms, hospitals, diplomatic settings, or business meetings.

In computing, an interpreter is a program that executes code line by line without first compiling it into machine language, as with Python or JavaScript.

The conference hired interpreters for six languages.
