delegation
Group of envoys
Delegation is the act of entrusting tasks or authority to others: The manager's delegation of responsibilities freed her to focus on strategy.
A delegation is also a group of representatives sent on behalf of a larger body: A delegation from the union met with management.
The word works both for the process of assigning duties and for the people assigned to represent others.
