harp seal
Greenland ice mammal
A harp seal is a species of seal native to the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans, named for the dark harp-shaped marking on the adults' backs.
The newborn pups, called whitecoats, have pure white fur and have become symbols in campaigns against commercial seal hunting.
