grassfire
Wildfire on plains
A grassfire is a fire that spreads through dry grass, typically in open fields, prairies, or savannahs.
Unlike forest fires, grassfires move quickly across flat terrain, fueled by wind and dried vegetation.
They can occur naturally from lightning or be set deliberately for land management.
The grassfire swept across the plains faster than firefighters could contain it.
