floorwork
Dance on ground
Floorwork is dance or movement performed on the floor rather than standing.
The term appears most often in contemporary dance, pole dancing, and breakdancing, where performers roll, slide, crawl, or hold poses at ground level: The routine included two minutes of floorwork before she returned to the pole.
In fitness contexts, floorwork refers to exercises done lying or sitting on a mat.
