pushups
Prone arm exercises
Pushups are a bodyweight exercise performed face-down, raising and lowering the body by straightening and bending the arms while keeping the back straight.
A staple of physical training, pushups build upper body strength without equipment: Drop and give me twenty pushups.
Variations include diamond pushups, wide-grip pushups, and one-armed pushups.
Also spelled push-ups.
