shimmies
Vibrates while dancing
Shimmies are rapid, vibrating movements of the body, especially the shoulders or hips.
A dancer might perform shimmies as part of a routine: She did a few shimmies before dropping into a split.
Mechanically, a shimmy is an unwanted wobble or vibration, as in a car's steering: The front end shimmies at highway speeds.
To shimmy is also to move by wriggling or sliding: He shimmied up the drainpipe.
