electroencephalography

Scalp electrode monitoring

Electroencephalography is the technique of recording electrical activity in the brain using electrodes placed on the scalp.

The resulting record, an electroencephalogram (EEG), displays brain waves as wavy lines that doctors interpret to diagnose seizures, sleep disorders, and other neurological conditions.

The electroencephalography showed abnormal activity in the temporal lobe.
