electrical circuit

Closed current loop

An electrical circuit is a closed path through which electric current flows, typically consisting of a power source, conductors like wires, and one or more components such as resistors, switches, or lights.

When the circuit is complete and unbroken, current flows; when broken or open, it stops.

The electrician traced the electrical circuit to find the fault.

Basic circuits are either series (components in a single path) or parallel (components on separate branches).
