circuits
Paths for current
Circuits are closed paths through which electric current flows—the wiring and components that power devices.
A circuit board holds the electronic components of computers and other equipment.
The word extends to any path that returns to its starting point: a racing circuit, a judicial circuit where judges travel between courts.
To make the rounds of nightclubs or comedy venues is to work the circuit.
She's been doing the comedy circuit for years.
