die-in
Playing dead publicly
A die-in is a form of protest where participants lie down in a public space, simulating death to dramatize an issue—typically war casualties, gun violence, or pandemic deaths.
The tactic draws attention by disrupting normal activity and creating a striking visual: Activists staged a die-in outside the legislature.
Modeled on sit-in.
