MRI images
Magnetic resonance output
MRI images are pictures of the body's internal structures produced by magnetic resonance imaging, a medical scanning technology that uses powerful magnets and radio waves rather than X-rays.
The plural form appears frequently because MRI typically produces multiple cross-sectional views: The MRI images showed no damage to the ligaments.
Often shortened to just "MRI" when the image context is clear.
