deboarding

Leaving the plane

Deboarding is the process of exiting a vehicle, especially an aircraft or ship.

The word is standard in airline and transit contexts: Please remain seated until deboarding is complete.

Deplaning and disembarking mean the same thing, with disembarking sounding more formal and deplaning specific to aircraft.
