entraining
Pulling into flow
Entraining is the present participle of entrain, which has two distinct meanings.
The first is to board a train or put aboard a train: Troops were entraining at the station.
The second, from science, means to draw along or incorporate into a flow—particles entrained in moving water, or one rhythm entraining another.
In chronobiology, circadian rhythms entrain to environmental cues like light.
