daffodil
Yellow spring bloom
A daffodil is a spring-flowering bulb plant with bright yellow or white trumpet-shaped blooms.
Native to Europe, daffodils are among the first flowers to appear after winter, making them symbols of renewal and hope: The daffodils are coming up.
The flower is also called narcissus or jonquil, though these terms have slightly different botanical applications.
