goldenrod

Warm yellow shade

Goldenrod is a plant with tall stems bearing clusters of small yellow flowers, common in North American fields and roadsides in late summer and autumn.

Often blamed for hay fever, though ragweed is usually the culprit.

The word also names the yellow color of these flowers: goldenrod paper, a goldenrod crayon.
