cerebral hemorrhage
Intracranial blood leak
Cerebral hemorrhage is bleeding within the brain, typically caused by a ruptured blood vessel.
The blood accumulates and damages surrounding tissue, often causing sudden headache, weakness, confusion, or loss of consciousness.
Severity ranges from minor to fatal depending on location and extent: She suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage and died within hours.
Also called brain hemorrhage.
