centre of gravity

Where weight concentrates

Centre of gravity is the point in an object where its entire weight can be considered to be concentrated, the spot around which the mass is evenly distributed in all directions.

For a symmetrical object like a sphere, this point lies at its geometric center; for irregular shapes, it may fall outside the object entirely.

The concept matters in physics, engineering, and sports, where a low centre of gravity improves stability and balance.
