bottle
Narrow-necked vessel
A bottle is a container, typically glass or plastic, with a narrow neck for holding liquids: a bottle of wine, a water bottle.
To bottle something is to put it in bottles: They bottle their own beer.
To bottle up emotions is to suppress them.
In British slang, bottle means courage or nerve: He lost his bottle at the last minute.
To bottle it is to lose nerve and back out.
