biotic
Of living things
Biotic means relating to living organisms, as opposed to abiotic factors like temperature or geology.
In ecology, biotic describes the living components of an ecosystem—plants, animals, bacteria, fungi: biotic interactions between species, biotic stress from pests.
The word appears almost exclusively in scientific contexts.
