baseboards

Floor-meets-wall strips

Baseboards are the narrow boards running along the bottom of interior walls where they meet the floor.

They serve both practical and aesthetic purposes—covering the joint between wall and floor, protecting walls from scuffs and furniture, and providing a finished look to a room.

We painted the baseboards white to match the trim.
