coving
Concave wall junction
Coving is a concave molding where a wall meets a ceiling, creating a curved transition rather than a sharp angle.
The term extends to any similar curved surface in architecture or construction: The coving softened the room's corners.
In excavation, coving refers to the collapse of earth from the sides of a trench or pit.
