assemblywomen
Elected women politicians
Assemblywomen is the plural of assemblywoman—a female member of a legislative assembly, particularly a state legislature in the United States.
The term parallels congresswoman and councilwoman.
As gender-neutral language gains ground, assembly member increasingly replaces both assemblyman and assemblywoman: The assemblywomen voted against the bill.
