adductors

Leg-closing muscle group

Adductors are muscles that pull a limb toward the body's midline—the opposite of abductors, which move limbs away.

The term usually refers to the inner thigh muscles that draw the legs together: My adductors are sore from all those squats.

Adductors exist elsewhere in the body, including muscles that move the thumb and fingers inward.
