pubis

Front hip bone

The pubis is the forward-facing bone of the pelvis, forming the front of the hip structure.

The two pubic bones meet at the pubic symphysis, a cartilage joint at the body's midline.

The pubic region—the lower abdomen above the genitals—takes its name from this bone.

Plural: pubes.
