Victoria Falls
Mosi-oa-Tunya landmark
Victoria Falls is a massive waterfall on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, among the largest in the world.
The indigenous name Mosi-oa-Tunya means "the smoke that thunders," describing the spray visible from miles away.
The English name honors Queen Victoria.
We visited Victoria Falls during the rainy season when the flow was at its peak.
