Mojave Desert

Arid southwestern expanse

The Mojave Desert is an arid region of the southwestern United States, spanning parts of California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.

It lies between the Great Basin Desert to the north and the Sonoran Desert to the south.

Death Valley, the lowest and hottest point in North America, falls within its boundaries.

The Joshua tree is its signature plant.
