conditions

Terms for agreement

Conditions are the circumstances or factors that affect a situation: working conditions, weather conditions, living conditions.

A condition can also be a requirement that must be met: The loan came with strict conditions.

As a verb, to condition is to train or accustom someone to respond in a particular way, or to treat something to improve its state: condition your hair, condition your muscles.

A medical condition is an ailment or health problem.

On condition that means only if: I'll go on condition that you come with me.
