MapQuest
Online route planner
MapQuest is a web-based mapping service that provides driving directions, maps, and route planning.
Launched in 1996, it was the dominant online mapping tool before Google Maps.
The name became a verb in its heyday: Let me MapQuest directions to the restaurant.
Now largely supplanted, it survives as a nostalgic reference to early internet navigation.
