Saskatchewan
Canada's middle rectangle
Saskatchewan is a Canadian province in the western prairies, between Alberta and Manitoba.
Known for vast wheat fields, flat terrain, and extreme temperatures.
The name comes from the Cree word for the Saskatchewan River, meaning "swift-flowing river." Residents are called Saskatchewanians or, informally, Saskatchewanites: We're driving through Saskatchewan on our way to Calgary.
