blizzards
Severe snow storms
Blizzards is the plural of blizzard—a severe snowstorm with high winds, low visibility, and often dangerously cold temperatures.
The term extends to any overwhelming quantity: a blizzard of paperwork, a blizzard of phone calls.
Dairy Queen's Blizzard is a trademarked frozen dessert.
