PLO
Palestinian advocacy group
PLO is the Palestine Liberation Organization, founded in 1964 to represent the Palestinian people and pursue the establishment of a Palestinian state.
For decades it was the principal political body representing Palestinians internationally, though its role has shifted since the creation of the Palestinian Authority in the 1990s.
