Palestinian Authority
West Bank administration
The Palestinian Authority, also called the Palestinian National Authority, is the interim governing body established in 1994 to administer parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip following the Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization.
It exercises limited self-governance over Palestinian-populated areas, handling civil affairs like education and healthcare, though its authority is constrained by Israeli military control and settlement expansion.
The Palestinian Authority condemned the latest round of violence.
