Oslo Accords
Israeli-Palestinian peace framework
The Oslo Accords were agreements between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, signed in 1993 and 1995, establishing a framework for Palestinian self-governance and a path toward resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The accords created the Palestinian Authority and outlined phased Israeli withdrawals from occupied territories.
The Oslo Accords raised hopes for lasting peace, but negotiations ultimately stalled.
